Signs of Fall

The leaves are falling already.  Infact,  they started a few weeks ago.

The mosquitoes are dying back.  The hummingbirds are gone.  More birds are gathering in the front bush habitat and hanging around the birdbath.

I saw groups of wild ducks leave this week.  Soon the "wild geese" (honkers) will be on their way to warmer living.

The days are shorter and it gets darker earlier.

Now there are decisions whether to wear a jacket or not.

Chelsea seems to be scratching less. The vet said to give her benadryl twice a day. It helps somewhat, but her throat gets dry, so I have to keep her hydrated. I notice this is a heavy season for scratching until the first frost appears. After that, scratching should die down and not return until June of the new year; when the grass is growing profusely.

It's a busy season for Chelsea. Lots to observe, The roaring motors of the school buses and the neighbor next door adding an additon to his house will make her more more observant.
